Charity Shoot in Memory of Derrick Conway
Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual Open, this years was a Charity Shoot in Memory of Derrick Conway. We raised £400.17 and donated to Cancer Research UK.

Junior National Indoor Champs 2016 – Portsmouth
Results Posted on Fri, December 09, 2016 15:53The Junior National Indoor Champs were held at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on Saturday 3rd December.
It was a very closely fought competition across all age categories. The JB U18’s category was won with a record score of 595. The top three in the JB U16’s category were separated by two points, with the winner being decided on golds. For full report see link.
Lewis Haslam was the only Anchor Bowmen representative at the championship. Once again he’s done the Club & county proud, scoring 558 & coming home with the silver medal in the JB U14’s.

Sydney Bond Trophy

Derbyshire won the inter-counties compound team “Bingham Ceramics” trophy on Sunday at Southwell. Elliott put on an impressive show in his first ever compound competition with a borrowed bow and a couple of weeks practice to help the county team win by just 3 points.
Lewis shot an amazing 1216 to win the EMAS Junior Intercounties Gentleman Recurve Highest Score trophy.

ABAC at the Junior National Champs 2016
Results, Tournaments Posted on Wed, July 20, 2016 13:55Congratulations to Elliot & Lewis on their achievements at the Junior National Champs. The event was held over the weekend of 2-3 July & was the biggest ever. With over 330 of GB’s best young archers, across all disciplines, shooting it out across 91 targets….it was quite a spectacle!
Saturday was Metrics day and Elliot, shooting a Metric I for the first time, scored 1001 which place him 20th in a very competitive field. Lewis, shooting a Metric III, scored a massive 1249, placing him 2nd & winning him a silver medal.
The Bristol rounds were on Sunday. Elliot came in 15th, with 1020 for a Bristol I & Lewis, shooting the Bristol III, was eventually placed 4th.

DCAA Indoor Champs. 2015
Results, Tournaments Posted on Fri, April 10, 2015 13:13 It was a fair turnout for Anchor Bowmen archers at the enjoyable DCAA
Senior and Junior Indoor championship, hosted at Derby University over
the weekend of the 14th & 15th of March 2015.
It was great to see our Junior Recurve members doing so well with Ethan
Hall taking 1st place (and overall junior champion boy) in the Under 18 competition, Elliott
Wilson taking 1st in the Under 16 competition and Lewis
Haslam coming first in the Boys Under 12 competition.
Another noticeable win was for Tim Simmonds in the Gent’s Longbow competition. It’s about time he won something!

DCAA Indoor Champs. 2014
Results, Tournaments Posted on Wed, September 10, 2014 14:03The indoor championships took place on Sunday 9th March at the
new venue of Derby University, hosted by the Derby University Archery
Club.
Sixteen of Anchor’s Archers attended and shot the Fita 18
event expertly field captained by judges Phil Herrett and Sandra
Bennett.
Well done to Wendy Ashmore for coming 2nd in the ladies
compound competition and also to Ethan Hall, who also took 2nd place in
the Junior U16 Recurve.
